Your First Visit at Our Office

When you arrive for your first visit at Healing Hands Wellness & Chiropractic Center, you will be greeted by one of our friendly staff members. Here is what you can expect during your first visit:

Paperwork

In preparation for consultation with the doctor, you will be asked to fill out forms that provide background information about the symptoms and condition. Most of this paperwork can be completed in advance by downloading the forms from our website (link to forms). The types of questions asked include:

· When and how did the pain start?

· Where is the pain located?

· Is your pain the result of an injury?

· What activities/movements make the pain better?

· What activities/movements make the pain worse?

You will also be asked to provide information on family medical history, any pre-existing medical conditions or prior injuries, and previous and current health providers and treatments.

Consultation

After completing your paperwork, you will have a consultation with one of our doctors to further discuss your current complaint and past medical history. This will also be an opportunity for you to ask any further questions about your care at Healing Hands Wellness & Chiropractic Center.

Physical Examination

A thorough examination includes general tests such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and reflexes, as well as specific orthopedic and neurological tests to assess:

· Range of motion of the affected body part

· Muscle tone

· Muscle strength

· Neurological integrity

Further tests may be necessary to assess the affected area.

Diagnostic Studies

Based upon the results of the history and examination, diagnostic studies may be helpful in revealing pathologies and identifying structural abnormalities that can be used to more accurately diagnose a condition. Diagnostic studies are not always necessary.

Based on the findings of your consultation and examination, treatment may begin during your first visit.

Schedule Your Next Appointment

We recommend that you schedule a follow-up appointment at your earliest convenience. At this time, we will review the findings gathered at your initial visit. We will recommend a treatment plan and continue with treatment as prescribed.

· Postural Analysis

· Digital Foot Scan
