Custom Foot Orthotics

Contrary to popular belief, many people with foot problems experience little or no pain in their feet. Instead, the pain is transferred to other areas of your body. Your feet are the foundation for your entire body, and having proper posture is the best way to support your body. If you have weakness or unstable positioning in either foot, it can contribute to postural problems throughout the rest of your body. By balancing your feet, custom foot orthotics help improve your posture, enhance your body’s performance and efficiency, reduce pain and contribute to your total body wellness.

Correcting problems in your feet has amazing benefits that may surprise you! Our custom foot orthotics can help increase your strength, enhance your athletic performance, and keep you energized – even at the end of the day. Orthotics are available in many styles and features, depending on your needs and the shoes you choose to wear.

At Healing Hands Wellness & Chiropractic Center, we use a digital foot scanner to evaluate your weight-bearing stance. Your regular foot scan image shows where your
weight is distributed on both feet. You can see whether or not the area of your foot touching the foot plate is the same on each foot. If the areas are not equal, you’re placing more weight on one side of your body than the other, and transmitting stresses to the knees, hips and spine – which could be the cause of pain in these areas.  Ideally, your foot scan would reveal a balanced, symmetrical weight distribution with half the weight on the heel and half the weight on the forefoot.
